Richard J. Nevle is a scientist, teacher, dad, and writer in love with the natural world. His writing has appeared in Orion, Real Ground, The National Catholic Reporter, Anthroposphere, and Dawn Songs: A Birdwatcher's Guide to the Poetics of Migration. His first book, The Paradise Notebooks: 90 Miles across the Sierra Nevada, was published by Cornell University Press in 2022.
